Q1: Dr Lily's skincare products are suitable for what kind of skin type?
We have further improved our formulas to make our skincare items gentler without compromising the effectiveness so that everyone can use whatever item they fancy or need.
All products you see here are perfect for all skin types including normal, dry, oily, combination, mature, damaged, acne and even sensitive skin. If you have recently underwent harsh chemical peels, do not hesitate to use them too.
Q2: Why the product's color and viscosity differ slightly from my last purchase?
It is normal for different batches of products to vary in both color and viscosity due to the nature of the organic and natural ingredients we use.
Q3: Are there any harsh and synthetic Ingredients?
Our certified vegan skin care products and free from sulfate, parabens, artificial coloring, fragrances, mineral oils and other harsh ingredients.
Q4: What is the shelf life of your products?
Because we do not use cheap, strong and harsh preservatives (eg. parabens), expiry date is two (2) years from date of production. Products added with parabens can last up to 5 years. We believe all of us prefer a safer and fresher product.
Q5: How soon must I finish up the product after opening?
It is best to use up the product within twelve (12) months after opening.
Q6: Do I need to store the skincare products in the fridge?
This is optional (personal preference) and not necessary. Room temperature and away from direct sunlight will suffice.

Q1: What is the difference between moisturizer and serum?
Moisturizer:
A regular moisturizer hydrates the upper layers of the skin and generally come in a cream, lotion or gel form. A moisturizer does not contain active ingredients (botanical ones are best) hence real benefits are limited and results are less evident. Moisturizer also has larger molecules than a serum. This means a moisturizer will not penetrate the skin as far as a serum will.
Serum:
Serum ensures the deepest possible penetration of concentrated ingredients to create beautiful glowing skin from within. A small amount will suffice.
Our serums deliver potent ingredients and provide additional moisture. The serums repair and restore long-term changes in the skin through a lightweight and active ingredient formulation that penetrates into the skin's dermal layers. This is what a regular moisturizer cannot achieve.
Q2: Can I combine serum with my existing aloe vera gel?
Yes! In fact, we have learned from the Manufacturer that combining serum with aloe vera gel will further enhance the effect of serum. Apply serum first from your neck upward to your face to help repair and rejuvenate your skin. Then apply a thin layer of Aloe Vera Gel as an additional moisturiser on top to lock in the serum's active ingredients.
Q3: Do I really need serum for my neck?
Definitely! Even if you have taken great care of your face and it is wrinkle-free, you neck will give you away. It is exposed to the same elements as the skin on your face; it is a lot more prone to damage and aging.
Just like your face, you should use serums and Aloe Vera Gel as moisturizer on your neck and upper chest area to prevent damage to the skin, help it to restore, rejuvenate and give the appearance of younger looking skin overall.
Q4: Your serum looks thick. Can I add water to it?
Our serum is creamy in texture derived from unique formulas with precise percentage from each ingredient. Please DO NOT add any water to the serum. This will cause the product to become unstable and therefore separate. Also, do remember to shake well before use.
Q5: Is it better to use 2 serums instead of 1?
Yes! It will be ideal to interchange between the 2 serums.
This will ensure a well-balance and well-covered skincare regime with excellent protection, repair, cell regeneration and firming results. You may use each serum on alternate days or use one for day and the other for night.
Q6: So, in a nutshell, what is the difference between "Bio Defense" and "Bio Rescue" Serums?
"Bio Defense" serum focus on preventive works to normalise/strengthen your skin etc and retain good properties from further damages.
"Bio Rescue" serum focus on aftermath to do rescue and repair works including cell regeneration.
We encourage interchange 2 serums with its own unique properties to ensure a well balance skincare regime.
Q8: Your serums protects skin against free radical. What is free radical?
Free radicals ravage the skin, stealing from healthy skin cells. Free radical activity creates skin damage as seen by the formation of wrinkles, age spots, loss of elasticity and assorted other aging skin care issues including the potential for skin cancer. Free radical activity is promoted by exposure to environmental pollution, sunlight, smoking and poor dietary habits.
Q9: Your serums provides antioxidant for skin. What is the purpose?
Antioxidants destroy free-radicals that cause premature skin aging. Restore healthy and youthful appearance of your skin. Fight negative effects of the sun, harsh cosmetics and pollutants.
Q10: How are the ingredients listed under each serum?
Key ingredients of each serum are listed according to percentage used in the respective serum. This way, you can see and appreciate the unique for each of our serum formula. Main ingredient for our serums is still the all-time trusted and loved "organic aloe vera juice" and not water or aqua.
Q11: How would you rate the price and value of your facial serums?
Firstly, the size. Look around and you will notice that most serums (certified vegan like ours or heavily laden with chemical preservatives) are marketed between 0.5 oz (15ml) to 1 oz (30ml). These sizes were also recommended by our Manufacturer as it is a common pricing strategy in this business.
After much consideration, we have decided to launch our serums in 2 oz packing as planned to strike a balance between realistic usage amount and value for money.
We want you to benefit from the product in the long run and not from a one-time purchase.
We want you to place your spending dollar on the product itself and not on advertisements, excessive distribution channels or 'fake' value with smaller product size.
Secondly, the ingredients. Main ingredient is organic aloe vera juice and not water. Botanical active and pro-natural supporting ingredients are more costly. They were chosen over artificial or harsher ones. Your body deserves a safe, natural and effective formula.
